  1. Scott,
I’d like to talk with you. My business partner and I have a small company called Credit stratagies. We teach people about credit, what it is, how to start it, build it, repair it,and how to use it for investing and growing. we also have a site promoting creditcards (see above)
We are going to be having a 3 day event in Baltimore in early March where we are teaming up with several other people to give a full seminar on all areas of credit.
i also do a bit of blogging about credit myself but to be honest I’m not internet savy and my posts don’t get very far. You can find a couple on activerain.
if you would be interested, shoot me an e-mail.
    Joe

  2. I tried this with American Express.. they flipping cut my credit limit from $20,000 to $5,000. I have 750 credit, never been late in 10 years or ever on any accounts, and had $7800 on it, but had just made a $2900 payment. After they cut my limit I had to make another $1500 payment to get my card balance down under 50% since that hurts your credit score to be over 50%. I called to appeal, they said they would try, 7 days letter a denial. They say I have to high of balances, I have $50,000 in unused credit, and none of them are over 50% on the limit. I think my total balances are at $20,000 or so, but I have had much higher balances before and it was never a problem. Discover and CitiBank have increaed my credit limit just from asking 2 times in the last 3 months, but American Express wont!!! I liked my amex card but what BS!!

  3. Nice work. Just did this on Friday. I was able to drop my IR by 6%. Took 5 minutes tops!

  4. Hi Scott,

I called my credit card company and it was lowered by 6%. I just asked and they agreed! Thanks for the inspiration.
